NEW WORKS

Performance:

Much of my performing is done with guitarist Julian Gray. We have worked as a duo since 1982. During that time we've given concerts throughout the United States, Canada, and England, including such cities as London, New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. Our performances and compact discs have been broadcast on radio stations in the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe.
We've been very active in giving workshops and masterclasses, having been guest artist faculty at California State University's Summer Arts Program, and Stetson University's International Workshop; since 1988 we have been on the faculty of the National Guitar Summer Workshop.

To date we have three compact discs, on the Dorian label.

COMPACT DISCS:

Our next recording project will focus on Romantic music of the 19th century. We're planning on including works by Brahms, Sor, Schumann, Debussy, and Chopin.

In addition to my duo performances, I also perform in solo recitals and in chamber ensembles. Currently I am working on, and performing music by Gilbert Biberian - a composer of astonishing range and emotion. His 24 Preludes display a rich inventiveness that move from the exuberant Colombine to the near-mystical King of Hearts. The Four Autumnal Waltzes are written in a lyrical and Romantic language that stands up well to any sort of analysis, yet is music from the heart. It is a joy to be involved in such great literature.
